About Us

I conceived ThaHipHop.Com in 2000. After a few failed attempts, the site was finally launched on January 5, 2004. The purpose of the site is to increase hip-hop’s coverage depth on the net. I’ve experienced many wonderful times due to hip-hop – I call them “hip-hop moments.”.

How to achieve that might not be so clear to you at the moment. It will take time but I have a motivated crew to assist me. I’ve been lucky to find some talented writers with diverse views of hip-hop. The site is fueled by their contributions and the diverse opinions that they’ve been fleshing out gives us the range needed to achieve our ultimate goal.

The content of the site is arranged in sections, which are further divided into categories – in some instances, categories are subdivided into segments. Presently, we have four sections:
- News
- Reviews
- Interviews
- Insights

Keeping you updated on the latest hip-hop on-goings is a must. Any self-respecting site strives to do as much – we’re no exception. To that end, we've made some sweeping changes and will be back very soon to fulfill our promise

Sony Sponsors 2010 Dew Tour – want more info?

Hi!
I’ve reached out before regarding the launch of Sony’s new PIIQ headphone line and just wanted to reach out again today to let you know Sony will be an official sponsor of the 2010 Dew Tour.

Beginning in late June with the Skate Open, ISF™ Skateboarding World Championships in Boston and culminating this October with the Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas, each event will feature an “Innov8 Park” inviting fans to experience a variety of new products. There will also be appearances and signings from several of the most recognizable athletes competing on the tour.

As you might have already guessed, the new PIIQ headphones line will be featured at the Innov8 Parks, along with the new TRIK iPod/iPhone dock speaker system, Sony Bloggie Cameras and a PlayStation® Move motion controllers.
