Novel is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, rapper and proud backpacker. If you happen follow him on twitter, you know that he's pretty fond of top 10 lists too. To mark Valentine's Day, he let out his top 10 favorite hip-hop love songs...

Cut KillerYou always enjoy going back to the records that got you excited about hip-hop. For a lot of us, the nineties was that golden era that produced such gems. There are a lot of good ones and it's always hard to bring a definitive list. But whenever a DJ decides to dig in that timeframe, there's very little chance of failing. During his radio show, Saturdays from 10PM to midnight on Skyrock, Cut Killer, a highly touted French DJ, decided to do a short set of the nineties. It's concise and straight to the point. I've included the tracklist and a download link. Also keep in mind that Cut Killer has a podcast for his radio show and one for the mixtapes he's done over time. I got the links herein.
