Unholy Terror From The Army of Pharaohs

Jedi Mind Tricks - Army of the Pharaohs: The Unholy TerrorJedi Mind Tricks have rounded up the Army of the Pharoahs for a third full-length. The Unholy Terror is also the first project on JMT's own imprint, Enemy Soil,in conjunction with Babygrande. What to expect is summed up perfectly in the press release:

"Lead by the inimitable [vinnie Paz], AOTP is a reflection of the volatile MC’s staunch belief in the tradition of Hip hop’s most sacred tenets and aesthetics. Individually the styles of the Pharaohs compliment each other, ranging from strictly lyrical to bloodthirsty battle rhymes, all fused within a construct based on energy and sonic power. The Unholy Terror, delivers the same disemboweling brand of hard-core boom-bap and battle rhyming that this veteran crew is known for. "

Teaser: A Love Supreme - U-N-I & Ro Blvd

Before I copy-paste this teaser description, I would like to affirm my full support for what these fellas have done this year. A Love Supreme is one of the best albums I've had the pleasure to listen to this year. Over the next few days, I commit to catch up on the lack of U-N-I coverage, because they deserve that much. And Ro Blvd has been so super official for a quite a while that I'm ashamed I've kept it to myself for so long. Also be on the lookout for A Love Supreme 2.0 on February 23rd 2010.

Duck Down Records is looking at a very productive 2010 and the campaigns have already started. One of the projects coming out of Duck Down is this tantalizing collaboration between Marco Polo and the indestructible Ruste Juxx. Check this clip for a teaser and details on how the pairing came about. The eXXecution will feature the likes of Sean Price, Buckshot, Rock of Heltah Skeltah, Freddie Foxxx and DJ Revolution. It is scheduled for March 23rd.

Quite A Quick Transition, Ryan!

Ryan Leslie - Transition Earlier this year, Ryan Leslie released his debut album. The triple-threat's self-titled opus received good press and was generally greeted as a breath of fresh air. On November 3rd, Ryan Leslie will battle the sophomore jinx with his second offering, Transition. How come so quickly? Ryan Leslie found himself a muse and, as the packaging explains, "This collection of songs was inspired by a summer of secret love." Story goes, Ryan met this lady at a showcase rehearsal. The meeting and subsequent courtship sparked the inspiration behind the eleven-track deep set. Ryan Leslie held a listening session recently and the good people at HipHopDX and Showing Out were fortunate enough to attend and elaborate on what to expect...
