DJ Vadim Jazzes Up With Live Band

DJ Vadim At The Jazz CaféOn Oct. 15, DJ Vadim will take over the legendary Jazz Café. With a full live band in tow, the maestro intends to delight audiences with live renditions of his latest album, U Can't Lurn Imaginashun. Also be on the lookout for support from Lizzie Parks (Tru Thoughts), Cheeba (Soundcrash / Soild Steel) & Kid Kanevil (DJ sets)

U Cant Lurn Imaginashun hit the shops on BBE records back in May, with the first single 'Hidden Treasure' featuring Sabira Jade out mid-April. Since then it's been a full on tour throughout Europe and the USA, Vadim's been 'assaulting his body clock' to bring his new sounds to your backyard. So the bands had time to mellow like a fine wine, the knobs have been finely tweaked to get that bass optimally ripping and drums thwacking... and to celebrate being back home in Blighty they'll be giving a very special, fully-live performance at the legendary Jazz Café!

The Great Hangover Tour

Who should you expect at The Great Hangover Tour? Kid Cudi and Asher Roth. Two up-and-comers who've made their mark with two of this year's biggest crossover singles: "Day N' Nite" and "I Love College". Asher Roth has already released his debut, Asleep In The Bread Aisle, and Cudi's first solo (Man On The Moon: The Guardian) is due August 25th. They are joined by B.o.B (a/k/a Bobby Ray) thoughout the cross-country journey. Pac Div and 88 Keys round up the party on some spot dates.

Fresh Friday

If you happen to be in San Fran this weekend, you might wanna hit 647 Valencia -- the Elbo Room -- for a healthy dose of the latest emerging hip-hop talent in the Bay. I'm talking about Keelay and Zaire, One Be Lo, Mykill Miers, and then some. The showcase comes courtesy of True Skool in association with Inhouse Talent and Hip Hop Congress!

Rapper Talib Kweli needs no introduction. Singer Res had some moderate success some years back. Graph Nobel? I don't know her either. The threesome, known as Idle Warship, promises to deliver some good music in the coming year. But why wait? If you're in NYC this coming monday, head over to B.B Kings for some guaranteed delights. I got a teaser right here.
